Elon Musk is increasing the scope of his Twitter advertising platform. The big boss of the massive social network has made a public announcement that Twitter users will soon be able to make money through subscription. This allows users to send tweets, images, and videos exclusively to their paying subscribers.
In an effort to diversify revenue streams, Twitter, Tesla, and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk announced on Friday that the social media network would take a 10% cut on content subscriptions after the first year.

Following news that the billionaire earns nearly $100,000 monthly from its 24,700 subscribers on Twitter, the decision to make the change was made. Now that Musk wants users to make money, too, he’s giving them a chance to keep all the money they make in the first year from their posts.
If successful, this idea might completely alter how people on the social media site monetize their material. Similar to how YouTube and Patreon artists sell their material, the new tool would let content creators earn money directly from their fans.

Drastic Measures By Elon Musk To Stay Relevant?
Since Elon Musk took control of Twitter, the company has implemented a number of drastic changes in order to become profitable, such as laying off a large portion of its workforce and launching a paid premium service called Twitter Blue.
Musk regarded the request for a monthly charge to earn a ‘Blue checkmark’ on Twitter as a much-needed revenue stream for the company, despite the fact that many already verified users fought against it.

Since Musk’s $44 billion acquisition of Twitter closed in October, he has been making changes there to increase revenue after the platform saw a decline in advertising income last year.
The newest update focuses on the user experience and aims to increase interaction among followers and generate additional revenue for the social media site.
Stripe is Twitter’s payment processing partner. Profits for account holders begin at just $50, and they can earn rewards of up to 97% on all income up to $50,000. Additionally, monthly subscriptions are automatically renewed and are not subject to a refund policy.
Competition From Alternative Platforms Has Increased
With the introduction of a monetization function, Twitter will compete head-on with sites like Patreon and YouTube, which already provide comparable tools. This may prompt social media companies to increase their research and development efforts for monetization tools.
Members of Crypto Twitter, who have built up a substantial following and reputation through their tweets over the years, enthusiastically embrace the concept of content creator subscriptions.
Artificial intelligence (AI) will be used to detect and discourage disinformation on Twitter as part of Musk’s ongoing efforts to overhaul the social media network.
